My first blog!!!

Hello everyone! Well I finally did it...I set up my blog! It only took me about 4 months after I registered, but hey, better late than never right? I'm excited to join the blogging world! I was just thinking how I have so many family and friends who don't live close to me, and how this would be a great way to keep in touch and stay updated on everyone's lives! So, if all of you don't have a blog, you should get one. It is really easy, I promise! I'm just a procrastinator! Anyways, it is starting to get cold here in Utah! The snow is finally coming, much to my dismay. I guess I should be grateful for how long we were able to be without it! It's coming later than normal, so that's a good thing...to me at least! I can't believe that tomorrow is Dec. 1st. Hello... Christmas is only 25 days away! Ahhhh!!! Where did this year go? I have to let you know that I do have a lot of my Christmas shopping done though! I have gotten a lot of good deals online, so it has been nice to not have to go to a million stores, especially when it's so cold outside! For those of you who are wondering how to find out about all of the great deals online, I am subscribed to a free website that sends me all of the good deals of many stores once or twice a week. You should subscribe so that you can get in on the bargains! It is called www.pinchingyourpennies.com. I've saved lots of money, not to mention lots of time with the help of this website. I highly recommend it!
Anyways, on Monday night, Tyler, the kids, and I took the UTA Trax (which is like an above-ground subway for those of you who don't live in Utah), and went to Temple Square in Salt Lake City for Family Home Evening to see the Christmas lights! (The picture above is of Tyler and the kids on Trax.) Anyways, it was so beautiful! We went and saw the manger scene and the Christus statue and a watched a short movie about Luke, Ch. 2 on the birth of Christ. It's so nice to get out of the hustle and bustle for a while and remember what the true meaning of Christmas is. It was neat to remind the boys what it's really all about too! They really enjoyed it. I finally got most of our Christmas decorations put out! Now we just have to get the tree up and decorated! To tell you the truth, I think we only have a few decorations left from previous years to hang on our tree, since most have them have gotten destroyed by my cute kids! Last year we had only the top half of our tree decorated with about 10 bulbs...literally! So, if anyone knows of any good deals on Christmas ornaments, please let me know!
Well, I'm thinking about posting some yummy Christmas recipes on my next post, so stay tuned! Maybe we should all start exchanging recipes? That would be fun!
I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday season and can get everything done that you need to before Christmas arrives!

Love, April
