Happy Birthday Tyce!!!

Today was my sweet baby Tyce's 1st birthday! I can't believe how fast a year went by. It honestly makes me sad to think that he is already 1 year old...especially because he is the best baby in the whole world (and most likely my last)!!!
Here are some things I love about my baby:
-Tyce is a momma's boy!!!
-He is so easy-going...always entertaining himself in any situation. Sometimes he's so quiet I forget where he's at!
-He smiles so easily! He makes me feel so loved when he constantly grins at me!
-He is my cuddle bug! I love how he puts his head on my shoulder or lays on my lap!
-He loves his family! He gets so excited when his brothers and sister play with him, or when his daddy throws him up in the air!
I am so grateful for this baby! Heavenly Father really blessed our family with his sweet spirit...I am so lucky to have 4 of those!!!
Happy Birthday to my little angel!!!

Fall

Every year we have a tradition of driving down to The Red Barn in Santaquin, Utah, to pick out pumpkins for Halloween. Fortunately, Tyler was home to go with us, as he is usually away on business. Before we went down, we decided to stop at Pirate Island to have some lunch. Pirate Island is a new pirate-themed restaurant that just opened. The kids had fun eating pizza, playing games, and making pirate faces!
Then it was off to the pumpkin patch. When we got there, we ate homemade ice cream and bought apple cider doughnuts, apple juice, a big bag of apples, and some jam to take home with us. (The Red Barn is an apple orchard also.) We got on the hayride and set out to get our pumpkins! The three kids each picked out their own and we took some fun pictures to remember it!
After the pumpkin patch, we stopped in Spring Lake to feed the ducks. The kids loved it, especially Tyce, who had never seen ducks or geese before! Needless to say, we were cracking up the whole time as the geese were coming up to Tyce and eating bread right out of his car seat! He loved it too, as the pictures will tell! I love this time of year as we get to make more fun memories and spend quality time together as a family!!!

Summer Happenings

Wow! I can't believe a month has gone by since I last blogged! Since I'm so slow at posting, I've decided to put a bunch of stuff on this one to make up for it!
I'll start off with Brayden's preschool graduation. He graduated in May. His class sang a few cute songs and got a special treat from Miss Mikki at the end! He's growing up too fast!

Next, Tyler sold his beloved truck...sad but true! It was a gorgeous truck, but with the economy how it is, we realized we didn't need 3 cars. Tyler travels so much, that he was hardly ever home to drive it, so it just sat most of the time anyways. Here are some last pictures of it:

We went fishing a couple of times this summer to Yuba Lake and Strawberry Reservoir. The kids loved it!

We got to spend some time at the cabin too! The guys built a nice fire pit with benches around it, so we loved getting to roast hot dogs and marshmallows!

The end!

Back to School/First Day of School

Dylan started the 3rd grade last Thursday! He was excited to go back to school and see all of his friends. We met his teacher, Mrs. Hjorth, and she seemed really nice! When he came home from school, he said "Mom, you know what the best thing is about school?" I said "What?" Then he said "My teacher! She is sooo nice! She even gave us M&M's!!!" Yay for nice teachers! I hope he continues to like her and has a great year in school!
Brayden started his first day of Kindergarten yesterday! He was really excited to go, especially because his brother got to start a week before him! He loves his new teacher, Mrs. Scott, and loves being able to finally ride the bus with Dylan! He even brought home a pack of M&M's from his teacher! Lucky boys!!!

Dylan's Baptism

I just realized I haven't posted since, oh...the beginning of the summer! Now it's already the end...what a slacker I've been!! A lot has gone on this summer, so I am going to try and post all of the summer happenings at least once a week. Hopefully you will all comment so I know if anyone out there even cares that I'm posting anything! (hint, hint!)
I wanted to post the most very important thing that happened this summer...Dylan's baptism! My Dylan turned 8 on July 5th. His daddy baptized him on August 8th, and he was confirmed by his Papa Bolda. His Aunt Amie and Grandma Debbie each gave talks, Uncle Max played the piano, Cousin Hunter sang a special song, and Auntie Stacy, Uncle Bryan, Cousin Janae, and friends, Jason and Jessica Thompson, each got up and shared their own baptism day memories. It was such a special day for Dylan. He looked so happy after he got baptized. After we got home from the luncheon, Dylan was writing in his baptism journal and said "I feel so good right now...when is it going to go away?" Tyler and I looked at each other in surprise, and helped him recognize the feelings of the Holy Ghost. What a special moment that was to us! We are so proud of Dylan for his decision to be baptized. He has grown up and matured so much lately. I'm so thankful to have him as my first-born son. He is truly a special boy. I love you Dylan!!!

Football Camp

So, today was the first day of Dylan's football camp. Crazy ha? I really can't picture Dylan playing football, but we thought we'd give it a shot and see if he likes it...(and it's tackle football!)
After I dropped him off, I went to run some errands. I picked him up after practice and the first thing he said to me was "I don't want to go to football practice again...they say bad words!" I asked who was saying bad words and he said the coach said the "a**" word. Then some of the kids were saying "s-t-u-p-i-d!" Well, it's a good thing he doesn't want to be around people that say bad words! (He also mentioned that he didn't like doing ladders because they were boring!)
Anyways, I'm hoping that tomorrow's practice will be better, and that there won't be any swearing from the coaches. (The coaches are the high school coaches and the high school kids were out practicing also, so hopefully they were swearing at them and not the little kids.) Regardless, I think that they need to watch their language since there are young kids around...anyone agree???

Updates

Hey everyone!
Yes, I am still around! I've been slacking on the blog though! My cute niece Janae reminded me that I need to update it, so I thought I'd better get on it!
My life hasn't been that exciting, but here are the latest updates:
Tyler finally started traveling for his new job. He has a 3 month contract with a company in New Jersey. He will fly out there on Sunday nights and be home on the weekends. Yay! This job could last up to 6 months.
I'm trying to manage everything with my wild and crazy kids...including trying to get them to obey me for a change. That's still a work in progress! Any ideas or suggestions on that one are always welcome! I am also having a "lifestyle change!" I now eat 6 meals a day and exercise in the mornings! I'm hoping to lose my baby fat, as it's wanting to cling to my body as long as it can this time!
Dylan will be out of school for the summer next Friday! Ahhhhh!!! My, how the school year flies! Next week is his dance festival, so that will be fun to watch! After school is out, he will start baseball and take golf lessons. That will keep him, and us, busy!
Brayden just graduated from preschool. He will be starting kindergarten in the fall. Wow! He did a great job singing at his graduation. Those preschoolers are so fun to watch!
Zoey will be starting preschool in the fall. She's still my little sidekick but is starting to get a sassy little attitude! Her favorite thing to say to me when she's in trouble is "Weeeeell!"
And Mr. Tyce is just getting fatter by the minute! His favorite food is mommy's milk! He's such a great baby! I'm so glad we have him and am so blessed that he's soooo good!
I will post pictures later of all of our latest happenings, but I at least wanted to get this out in cyberworld asap!!!

Calgon...Take me Away!!!

I am praying that none of you fellow bloggers out there have an evening like I just had! I don't know if it can get any worse! Here it goes...
My friend gave me a Salt City Candle for my b-day at lunch today, and when I got home, Brayden asked if he could smell it. I said yes and continued on with my cleaning. A little bit later, I noticed the candle wasn't back in the bag that I had it in, so I asked him where it was. He said "I accidentally lit it downstairs." I asked him to show me where it was, and as we walked downstairs I saw the smoke. I was trying to figure out where it was coming from, then started freaking out because I couldn't find it, when Brayden finally told me it was under the couch. Apparently, he lit the candle, and knew he shouldn't do that, so he tried to hide it under the futon. I yelled for Tyler to come downstairs quick! He ran down, lifted up the futon, and saw the smoke coming out of it. He then dragged it out the back door and we turned on our hose and started soaking it! We thought we got it all but a while later I saw it smoldering still, so I soaked it again, and then again. Well, goodbye futon, hello smoky, smelly house! Luckily I went downstairs before the whole house caught on fire! Thank you Heavenly Father!
After that major event, Tyler called me over and said that Dylan had thrown up all over the carpet and walls in our hallway. So, I had to clean that up since Tyler was barbecuing our dinner.
As I was cleaning up the vomit, Tyce was crying in his bouncer, so I took him out and noticed he had a huge blowout! I then gave him a bath and got back to my cleaning. After his bath he decided to spit up all over me! Thanks Tyce!
Well, I am sooo ready for bed now after this adventurous day! I'm hoping tomorrow is extra good to make up for today! Goodnight!!!

It's Finally Done!!!

Hey everyone!
Just wanted to let you know that the cabin that Tyler and friends have been working on for over a year now is FINALLY DONE!!! I'm so excited! We've sure missed not having Tyler around much for the past year. So we can finally reap the rewards of his labor! I took some pictures of the inside of the cabin so you can get an idea of what it looks like. (We are still getting the final pieces of furniture, pool table, and decorations.) I can't wait until it's our turn to stay in it (there are 5 other families who went in on the cabin with us, like a timeshare!) We definitely want family and friends to come and enjoy it with us! We can't wait!

Updates

Hey everyone!
It's been a while since I've updated, but I'm still figuring out how to go about everyday life with 4 kids. It's sure a lot different than when I had 3! It's good, and I'll adjust eventually! Let me just say that Tyce is such a good baby! He only cries when he's hungry...I'm so lucky! His siblings love him, so much that they are constantly wanting to kiss and hold him, even when he's asleep! I can't believe that he will be 1 month old on Jan. 8th. It seems like I just had him yesterday! At his 2 week checkup, he was 21 1/2 inches (20 inches when he was born) and he weighed 8 lbs 12 oz. (he weighed 8 lbs. when he was born.) He definitely likes to eat!!!
Anyways, I'm going to post some pictures of Tyce and some others of the latest happenings!

Zoey's 3rd birthday! She had a princess cake with family and friends there to celebrate! Thanks to those who came and for all of the cute gifts!!

Daddy's girl!

Christmas morning...Dylan loved his new bike, Brayden his new Nintendo DS, and Zoey her new Barbie jeep and barbies! We especially loved that my sister and her family were here from California and got to spend Christmas at our house this year!

The cousins (I sure hope Zoey isn't going to be an exhibitionist when she gets older, as she loves to constantly run around with her pants off!)

2 of my 3 sisters and my dad (I hate that I still look fat and tired! Yuck!)

We had a great Christmas with most of my family in town, which rarely happens! I'm so grateful for the Savior's birth and for all of the blessings that he gives to me and my family. I hope all of you have a Happy New Year!
